With Lyrics As Smooth and Creamy as Ice Cream
Deriving from La Mirada, California, John Anthony first developed his love of music at the age of five where he was heavily influenced by his families Colombian and Caribbean roots. As a child he would take tapes and record his favorite songs on the radio, then would perform in front of his immediate family. Growing up John struggled to interpret his personal experiences and in order to cope with this inner turmoil, he began writing. This evoked a true talent for composing songs and matured him into a skilled poetic lyricist, achieving imaginative and engaging rhymes.
John spent his early twenties developing his current pensive style and melodic sound. It was during this time he released amateur music videos such as Celebrate, and Away From Me that are still fan favorites today.
The budding rapper has showcased his talents by performing multiple shows all over Southern California. Most notably at the Novo by Microsoft and the Santa Ana Observatory where he performed alongside Metro Boomin and Future.
